Maryna Esterhuyse started her business as an accommodation booking agent in 2004.

Midrand.net is the central reservation arm for Gallagher Convention Centre. Once an organisation has made a booking for an exhibition or an event, Maryna will be assigned to liaise with the organisation to render support for any accommodation requirements. Her services also include full conferencing and function organising in Greater Gauteng.

Christelle van Wyk joined Midrand.net in February 2010.  She has been detrimental to the success of the business.  She runs the business on a day to day basis, handling all enquiries and bookings, admin and liaison with clients and guesthouses.

Maryna and Christelle have built up a professional relationship with most of the guest houses and hotels in Midrand extending up to 30 kilometres from Gallagher from where travelling to and from the venue is still considered convenient, with more than 90 facilities from which to choose. During 2010 there were some challenges with a lack of accommodation. Now that the Gautrain is only minutes away from Gallagher, and with the new road infrastructure, they will be able to further expand on their offer.

Midrand.net can facilitate accommodation for any number of guests. For the ANCYL conference in 2010 they had to find accommodation for 3000 guests and they found a convenient solution for everyone. Wherever possible they try to meet with the client personally for a briefing and present a spread sheet with all the accommodation possibilities including preferential rates. They can also arrange for the payment of all the accommodation thus removing the administrative headaches associated with reservations.
